Description:
This position will be assigned to the JBSA Resource Management Office at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX.This is a Regular Part-Time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40hrs/week. Employees appointed to Regular category positions are eligible for benefits.
Must be able to bend, lift, and work in awkward positions both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Requires experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting trades. Experience which demonstrated the ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Must have ability to learn new techniques and procedures associated with the preceding. .
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Basic knowledge of the standard techniques in the maintenance of buildings and equipment.
2. Knowledge and experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting trades.
3. Must have ability to read and compute simple arithmetic.
4. Be skilled in use and operation of common hand and power tools and measuring devised of the painting/carpentry trades.
5. Ability to learn new techniques and procedures associated with the preceding.
6. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
